Diplomatic relations between Norway and Rwanda were established 30.01.1971. The Norwegian ambassador accredited to Rwanda is resident in Uganda. Development cooperation between the two countries is limited.
The support is for the most part channeled through Non Governmental Organisations such as Norwegian Church Aid, Care and Norwegian People's Aid.
