Ralph Myerz and the Jack Herren Band to open Glastonbury

Ralph Myerz and the Jack Herren Band will open the 2004 Glastonbury Festival on 25 June. This will be the start of a two-month tour for the vital Bergen electronica collective

Glastonbury Festival is the largest greenfield music and performing arts festival in the world. Ralph Myerz -- the future of downtempo -- are set to play the main stage.

No samples, just blissful breaks and odd beats performed with grandeur by one of the most inspired live acts around. This is Ralph Myerz and the Jack Herren Band.

The Norwegian group's debut A Special EP included the chillout masterpiece "Nikita" and entered the official Norwegian singles chart at #8 - sandwiched between Britney Spears and Marilyn Manson!

The "Nikita" video has earned itself a nomination for the Spellemannprisen Norwegian Grammy in the category Best Music Video Award! Check out the link below to watch for yourself.

"Ralph Myerz and the Jack Herren Band are definitely one of the best-kept secrets in the industry. All their releases thus far have been simply brilliant. 'Think Twice' shows that these Norwegians are going to be getting very well known, very soon." Richard Dorfmeister, Artist/DJ
