The Norwegian jazz musician, Eivind Aarset, with band, performed at the Damascus citadel Tuesday July 13, as the festival “Jazz Lives in Syria” celebrated its 6th edition in Syria. The concert was a great success, attracting more than 2000 enthusiastic listeners. Read more

Ambassador of Norway Mr. Rolf Willy Hansen received at the residence the Syrian group who has been to a youth exchange in Norway this summer. During the reception Mr.Hansen handed out certificates for the participants and he listened to their experiences from Norway. Read more

The Norwegian jazz band Motif performed at the Damascus Citadel Wednesday July 8 as a part of the annual festival Jazz Lives in Syria. The concert was a great success and Motif impressed the audience with its understanding of jazz music and improvisation. Read more

The Norwegian jazz pianist Bugge Wesseltoft, who visited Syria for the first time, gave a concert in the Damascus Opera House on 12 May. The concert, which was almost fully booked and attracted curious spectators of all ages, was a great success. Wesseltoft impressed his Damascene audience with an original combination of solo piano and electronic music. Read more
